"MORE IS MORE!
LESS IS A BORE!"

Opened yesterday, April 29 in New York.
Perhaps you can find it online already, but personally, a maximalist legend like this, requires the big screen!   Coming to Chicago May 15!  Click here for your hometown schedule.  Here is a little clip from another favorite, Ari Seth Cohen of Advanced Style:

Coming off of all the Fashion Revolution Day activities, I think it’s a good time to talk about personal style.  Perhaps that was new info for you.  It’s alot to take in and can leave a person feeling overwhelmed by the state of things.  I’m glad we were able to shine a light and help create demand for better practices.  The day may be over, but this coalition is just getting started and here at Styleposium, it’s a cause I love to help champion.

Two years ago on this day was the Rana Plaza catastrophe in Dhaka, Bangladesh.  1,133 people died and 2,500 were injured working for well-known brands when the factory collapsed.

Let's remember this day not as an unfortunate accident (gross understatement) but as the catalyst for long-term, industry change in which all the people who are involved in making our clothing have fair working conditions and reasonable pay.  Here's what you can do:

Bring Out Yr Broken:  Repair Wagon Hits the Road

Did you know Patagonia employs 45 full-time repair technicians in one of the country's largest repair facilities?  Learn more about it in this 4-minute video above.  The truck was in Portland today and hits Chicago, Sunday, 26 April from 11-6pm at the Patagonia N. Clybourn location.
I really enjoyed that.  How about you?  And I'm not even remotely an outdoorsy person.  Although, I just finished Wild, does that count?  Thought not, but I wouldn't mind one bit if they asked me to captain that there truck.  Perhaps we will see more roving repair trucks in the future.  Have you seen any parked near the food trucks?  I've seen a funky lil' camper around Andersonville on and off...it's a traveling vintage boutique.
