"It is an object in the shape of a person, and imagination and emotion fill in the space it implies." - Serah-Marie McMahon, Worn Fashion Journal.

Don't let a hole or busted zipper send your favorite garments to charity or the garbage.  Clothes hold memories and can have fantastic origin stories.  Mend those threads and beam with inimitable satisfaction!   OR, you can be a job creator and pay to have it mended, OR you can get to know your community and have it mended for FREE!  Behold:  Repair Resources!

Let's start nice and easy with this guide from The Guardian's,  Live Better.  It's a great site with many more tutorials for clothing and gadgets.

Another great resource for repairing all manner of items, garments included.  IFIXIT is a partner with Patagonia.  The outdoor active-wear company has created a inspiring campaign, called Worn Wear.

Get your stuff fixed, meet interesting and handy people.  Community Glue is a free event in Chicago's Edgewater neighborhood.  Sometimes there's snacks.  Um, hello!  Is it on your calender yet?  If you don't live in the area, Google something like, "repair clinic" and the name of your town.  Don't have one, maybe you should get on that?
