Ermm, hullo there. Yours Truly lurking in the brush to take a selfie to show off this rad secondhand coat. Pairs well with cherry blossoms and daffodils. I almost always wear secondhand items. Why? Read on.
 Happy Spring Equinox!

Soon, in just over a month, it will be the 5 year anniversary of the Rana Plaza factory collapse.
If you haven't seen The True Cost, I invite you to watch it this week.
It is an insightful, completely necessary, yet sobering doc,
Please carve out an hour and a half to see it soon.
It's currently on Netflix and or the site, TheTrueCost Movie.com

I can't think of a more concise and engaging way to sum up what has been happening and why it is so very important we ask, "Who Made My Clothes" to the corporations, and to use our dollars to vote for a more fair and equitable world.

Perhaps if you have seen it, please share on social media and/or even consider hosting a viewing.

Know that you have a good resource here among many others, for having a better relationship with yourself and the clothes you put on your body.

Happy Spring & Talk to you soon ~

Hi there, Makers, Menders, and Constituents of Style!
Exciting developments have been rolling out this past month.
Let's get crackin.

TO READ
...In taking spectacular theatrical risks, reminiscent of Alexander McQueen, John Galliano and Vivienne Westwood,
Takahashi doesn’t just look forward,
but backward as well, to a seemingly
lost era of fashion showmanship. - Valerie Steele, Director of the Museum at the  Fashion Institute of Technology.
Positively hooked on those honeycomb skirts.

Hello Makers and Menders, thank you for visiting Styleposium.  A quick update:  posts may be a little shorter for the next few weeks due to travel.  Thanks for understanding.
Too bad it's been ga-gorgeous outside because all I want to do is watch Viceland.  It's a treasure trove of fascinating stories behind clothes, identity, and politics.  Below is a trailer for States of Undress. I highly recommend episode 1 in Pakistan.
